Privacy Policy
This policy applies to Fluent Memory for iPhone and Apple Watch in App Store version 1.0.0.
Effective date: August 18, 2026
Offline-only release: version 1.0.0 does not require an account and does not enable cloud backup, sign-in, subscriptions, billing, or cloud synchronization. Your learning data stays on your devices unless you explicitly share it using an operating-system feature.
1. Data stored on your devices
Fluent Memory stores the content needed for learning locally on your iPhone and, when you use it, your paired Apple Watch. This can include vocabulary cards, review history, spaced-repetition state, settings, drawings, selected photos, and recordings that you create in the app.
2. No account or cloud collection in v1
App Store version 1.0.0 has no account creation or sign-in flow. It does not send cards, review history, photos, drawings, or recordings to Fluent Memory servers. The production app does not call Supabase, cloud-sync services, entitlement services, or billing services.
3. Permissions
The app asks for access only when you use the related feature:
- Camera: take a photo for a vocabulary card.
- Photos: choose a reference image.
- Microphone: record your pronunciation.
- Notifications: schedule local study reminders if you enable them.
You can deny or revoke any permission in iOS Settings. The core learning flow remains available without these optional permissions.
4. Apple Watch
When the Watch app is installed and reachable, selected cards and review results are transferred between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple device-to-device communication. This data is not sent to a Fluent Memory cloud service in version 1.0.0.
5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The iOS app does not use advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, or third-party advertising analytics. We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or erase the device. Because version 1.0.0 has no cloud account, there is no server account to delete. Apple Watch data can be removed by removing the app or using the relevant device settings.
7. Future features
Cloud accounts, synchronization, and billing may be introduced in a later release. They are not part of this App Store version. If those features are enabled in a future release, this policy will be updated before they are made available.
